Hello Bill,

Any more progress on the adapter? Also do you have bbug.exe handy? I did search for it but haven't found it yet.

I'm thinking of something small, about the size of a 600-mil 40-pin DIP that has the 68EZ328 BGA fitted under a 32-pin 600-mil 512KB RAM, 32KHz crystal, 3.3V regulator, and a serial port. Power comes from USB-to-serial adapter. Implemented on a 2-layer pc board that is very thin, 0.6mm, so I can solder the BGA over a hot plate (or skillet over fire). The pcb factory is shut down for Chinese New Year. It'll be 2 weeks before I can send the board out.

Keep getting sidetracked by Z80 projects. I've written up a few projects on 68030 here: https://hackaday.io/project/164041-buil ... n-5-stages

Attached is zip file of Utility Programs for M68EZ328ADS that I downloaded from NXP website two years ago. bbug.exe is in there. I suspect the files were removed from the website because they are obsolete (2004).

Unfortunately, no progress on the DragonBall. I have spent time on other 68000 boards recently so at least that reminded me of the DragonBall project.

I have recently purchased a 328-board made by Motorola, and there is support for CodeWarrior m68k, for which I have a license, so I am trying to reverse engineering the protocol used by CodeWarrior to communicate with their custom ROM because it's not documented. It looks like the "NoICE" protocol, similar in some way.

The board misses an ethernet card, so I will add one, but the CS8900 by Cirrus Logic is bugged when used in 8bit mode.
