Using EQU * makes no difference in EASy68K.

Thanks but could you explain me,what exactly the purpose of this was when people programmed for the real M68k (the hardware)?
Is this because a label has to contain some information , i.e. if we assume that I am coding a program for a physical M68k, would this code:
Code:
DONE: EQU   *

      MOVE.B   #9,D0
      TRAP   #15   ; halt simulator

      END   ZAD

actually be the same as:
Code:
DONE: MOVE.B   #9,D0
      TRAP   #15   ; halt simulator

      END   ZAD

? (So we are using the "EQU *" command to trick the assembler and point it actually to the address of the next real command ?)

Or am I missing the point? :?

It depends on the assembler. Some assemblers may not like a label on a line by itself. EASy68K does not care.
