i want to reserve a block of memory. im using this

BLOCKOFMEMORY EQU $3000
MOVEA #BLOCKOFMEMORY,A1
.
.
.
MOVE D2,(A1)+

what im doing is storing d2 in successive addresses starting at 3000

i was wondering if there was any way that i could reserve memory for x number of words other than using BLOCKOFMEMORY EQU $3000.
maybe assign a label too.

The DS (Define Storage) directive may be used to reserve memory. Use .B for byte .W for words .L for long words.

Code:
    ORG $3000
BLOCKOFMEMORY   DS.W    100     ; reserve 100 words
