i would be most grateful if you could share any online references you have discussing commands other than MOVE, ADD, and SUB in 68k.

im also at a loss when it comes to using the for loop take for example the code below:

for d4 = #0 to #36 do.s
.
.
.
endf

i was told that this performs the loop 6 times. i have no idea as to why.

If you want a for loop that loops 6 times you could do this:

Code:
    for d4 = #0 to #5 do.s
    .
    .
    endf

or something like this if you want to increment by more than 1:
Code:
    for d4 = #0 to #20 by #4 do.s
    .
    .
    endf
