Another request is from the natami project for 68070/50 support.

www.natami.net

As I mentioned in another thread, bit field instructions were added to EASy68K but they only support 68000 addressing modes. Support for 020 or 070 would probably require rewriting a large chunk of the simulator core. Another approach would be to take an existing 68020 simulator, such as the UAE, and incorporate that into EASy68K. I'm not sure which approach would be best. Perhaps that is a good student project. I'll see if I can get some students interested during next Winter's semester when I teach Assembly Language again.

Perhaps would be a good idea to integrate the 68020 support through students work. That's a good practice.

I've asked the guys over at English Amiga Board about getting the WinUae 68k emulation to work as a stand alone program. The person who currently develops WinUae (Toni Wilen) is actually a moderator on EAB, so his reply should be quite helpful. I'll post any interesting information here.

Note: WinUaes 68k emulation is timing perfect for 68000, supports math coprocessors, and has JIT as an option for 68030 and above, and supports 68k up to 68060.

I second the request for 68020 support, including the 68881 math co-processor. From there, it's a small step (?) to extend to the 68040. Would be most helpful to those of us working with 'legacy' systems.

The IDE68K project supports the 68020/6888x with an assembler, compiler and simulator.

Any news on the 68020 support?

No students have been willing to take on this project. I'm too busy with my game programming book, grad courses and my teaching load to work on it.
