Just to inspire some people...A friend on my course at uni found this program, as we need to use 68k assembly for one of our modules. It is the only 68k Emu I got to work in linux (newest Wine, works spot on), so ofcourse I have been using it since.

For our module we need to write a parser for equations, and then calculate an answer from them. But anyways, most of decided to do something more fun (i'm doing BSc Games Software Engineering) and write some games. I wrote Pong as my first program in 68k, so I'm gonna post the source for those who will find it interesting:

Also, anyone else here wrote any games?

Thanks for posting Pong Neil. I'll add it as a download on the examples page.

There are some games on the examples page http://www.monroeccc.edu/ckelly/easy68kexamples.htm

Lee is working on a 3D wireframe tank game EASyZone but he's waiting for me to get full screen support in the simulator. I've been busy working on a game program and developing a new game programming course so I've not had much time to work on EASy68K. I'm hoping to get full screen support in during the holidays.

Chuck

And it's driving him potty, but at least now all the co-ordinate sets work the same way round - I think.

So far.

Nice Tetris game. :D
May I add it to the examples page?

Lee, the EASyZone game is looking great. Can't wait to play it :D

LOL  I must be psychic, I posted this message and Lee's following post appeared below when I went to review my message.

Just to bring the rest of you up to speed. I'm going to try to incorporate OpenGL into the simulator. It should make the graphics MUCH faster and also support full screen mode. Perhaps even different screen resolutions.

I found my 3D glasses :3d:

Sorry, no can do. I'm saving that as the carrot for the full screen version of Sim68k from Chuck. 8^)=

Anyway that's just wireframe, this is 3D ..

Looks good even if I say so myself.

grekster: don't forget snake either!

I need to try and write some more games in this, I get less error messages in 68k than I do in C++...much more productive imho.

Productive my unmentionables! 10% of the time is writing code that you hope does something, 90% of the time is figuring out why it doesn't work >_<

Ooops, I forgot to put beta 9 in there. Anyway, beta 8 supports increased screen res also.
